The artist who received the most international recognitions (GoTo) is also the most underrated contemporary artist in Estonia (read Banana Republic).

He has not received any state recognition.

He does not get the best exhibition space for a solo exhibition.

KUMU Art Museum (Estonian Art Museum) has never exhibited his works.

Estonian art institutions and companies have acquired only a few works of Benjamin Vasserman. It is shamefully little compared to foreign art collections.

Why is all this so? Envy, arrogance, lack of respect, origin, etc?

The artist is depressed and increasingly alienated from the country he has successfully represented.

Throughout his career, only a few interviews and reviews of solo exhibitions.

Creative artists who are not philosophers are marginalised by art functionaries.

Due to unindicated treatment and other medical errors and due hush-up here, the artist has reached the edge of the abyss.

According to many renowned colleagues, Benjamin Vasserman's 70th anniversary exhibition was the best exhibition in Estonia this year and would have deserved recognition.

Wrong time and wrong place? Hardly.
Despite everything, the artist hopes to do a life's work (retrospective) exhibition in the prestigious space of the exhibition, either here or behind the track ...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vasserman creates his works digitally, and the end result is achieved in the form of digital printing. The exhibition includes large-format digital prints of the artist from 2015 to 2019. A total of 30 works will be presented, nearly half of which are news creations. Vasserman's work stands out for its bold use of color, richness of detail and youthfulness. His digital art is truly unique, and the appearance of its rare recognizable qualities is an important feature of the artist's practice and career.
